ORAL PRESENTATIONS
We kindly ask all speakers to adhere to the following time limits for their presentations:
- Plenary lecture – 45 minutes (without questions).
- Keynote lecture – 30 minutes (25 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for audience questions).
- DUO keynote lecture – 45 minutes (40 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for audience questions).
- Oral lecture – 15 minutes (12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for audience questions).
- DUO oral lecture – 30 minutes (25 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for audience questions).
- Flash presentation – 5 minutes for the oral presentation + poster.
The presentation is intended as brief overviews to encourage discussion during the corresponding poster session (on the day of the oral presentation).
Presenters should prepare a computer-based presentation. Please remember that the number of slides should be appropriate for the allotted time (maximum 5 minutes).
Please ensure that your presentation fits within the allotted time to allow the program to run smoothly and to respect other presenters’ schedules.
Technical preconditions for oral presentations
We offer ready-to-use laptops with Office365 software installed (based on current Windows systems) – ready to present PPT/PPTX formats. Presentation files must be provided in advance (see note below).
We also have the option of connecting your own presentation equipment, provided it uses multimedia HDMI output.
We offer the possibility to use a laser pointer and a hand-held microphone.
Uploading presentation files
We recommend uploading your presentation files using this form.
Using the form, you can upload files no later than midnight of the day before the session in which the files will be used.
It is important to include the session number, the presentation number and the presenter’s name in the form (for instance: S5_FL3_Smith or S11_OL23_Smith).
Alternatively, you can bring your presentation file on a USB flash drive (“USB-A” standard) no later than 15 minutes before the start of the session. However, for logistical reasons, we recommend sending files using the form.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
- Poster presentations will take place during dedicated sessions scheduled for Monday (odd numbers in the Book of abstracts) or Tuesday (even numbers in the Book of abstracts). Presenters are expected to be available by their posters during the assigned session to engage with attendees and answer questions.
The MAX poster dimensions are 78 cm (W) × 110 cm (H), in portrait (vertical) orientation, which is slightly smaller than standard A0 (84.1 cm × 118.9 cm).
